Today I was looking through some old pictures trying to find some girls camp pictures back when I went, and I came across these of my old "bros".

I got a chuckle out of them, and thought back to when I used to go snowboarding with these guys. It was always a blast, even in a blizzard type snowfall! We even had a great trip up north to snowbird! we stayed at Grandma and Grandpa J's.

My mom would ALWAYS make the BEST chili with LOTS of cheese on top for when we would come back home from boarding all day. That was a real treat to have.

The last time I got to go boarding was back in '06. In fact we had just found out we were expecting ( found out while I was up there!)...well sadly I didn't get to board that much that day...Corbin was a sweetheart and made up an excuse for me as to why I wasn't on the mountain. BUT I'm sure he told them after the fact! CORBIN! heeheeI know you told my brother before I could! :P

Anyhow, I would love, and hope to go this season. I think it would be great to take the girls and teach them. But I just have to MAKE IT HAPPEN! I hope that I can also go up north and be able to board with my "bros" again... this time no bun in the oven... *grin*

Happy 4th!

We got together with some of our friends who are our neighbors as well and celebrated the 4th! Thanks to Jo and her help with teaching us the master secret of the pork-kabobs, along with many yummy side dishes, it was a yummy dinner! After it had gotten dark the men headed up the firework display! While the older kids and adults enjoy the magic, the younger kidlins preferred to be indoors! So Spongbob Squarepants it was!

Ethan's second year of fireworks proved to be too much for him. He was cuddled so tight to me that when I had asked him if he wanted to go in and get his jammies on he nodded yes. On our way in he started to giggle and said BUH BYE! I think he was happy to get away from the fireworks! heehee.

Thanks again Allie, Chris, Mindy, Andy, Lyndsi, Brent all the kidlins and Doug... I enjoyed the fun we had! And next year Janet and Nate better be strong enough to say no and come hang with us!! heehee :)

Water Aerobics

Today I tried something new! I got into the pool with a lot of "old" people and did water aerobics! I just have to say its more of a work out then one would think! I enjoyed the class today, and am thinking I will go back for more! I just love to see the older ladies and gentlemen doing good for their bodies...and to see them in all their glory, well it just gives me hope that I to can be like them when I'm in my 70's and older! There is this CUTE little lady, she is in her 90's and while she doesn't do the aerobics, shes in the other pool with her noodle doing her work out! It just makes me smile! I hope that I can be just as cute as these ladies when I'm old.

Anyhow, to those who thought that water aerobics was for the "old" frail , injured people...just give it a try...you will see that it can kick your butt! heehee The weirdest part was getting out of the pool after class... you felt like you were being pulled to the ground! An odd experience :)

That's how feel today. I think everything is hitting at once, and I'm not taking to it too well.

There are just those days where you feel down, or feel less motivated, or just plain ol don't like the day. Today's gripes for me are as follows...

1. No weight loss, even after about a month of swimming. I can see my legs are getting more muscles, and such, but my lovely scale hasn't given me a break!

2. People. I have always had this thing, I look at a person and wonder what their life is like, and think about how they are human, and the have the same needs as me, or think about how hard they have worked in their life time to be where they are. Its the same thing when I see people eating. We all have that need. Its an odd thing, I know. But while it helps me to be more thankful for what I have, it also makes me sad... haven't figured out yet why that is.

3. Trying to grow up. Is hard to want to be more "girlie" and not have the confidence to do it. I suppose if I was lucky to have a body that fit into the general made clothing, it wouldn't be a problem. Or if I would just let go of my insecurity of being more girl like. I thought for sure by this age that I am I would have been more ok with "nicer" clothing. But here I am still wearing T-shirts and shorts. Boy clothing for that matter. It just fits a bit better, hides all the flaws that I see. But really it only makes me look bigger, I think. So how does one over come this? Same with make-up. I'm so trying to work on this one! I have to, I'm getting OLD! heehee

4. Friends. I have to say that I have grown a lot in this area. Since moving to this street, I have been able to make some incredible friends. I never had luck with friends. They would either be a friend for a day to get what they needed, a ride up boarding, to someones house...It was amazing how they would use me. It took me a long time to get over them, and to move on with my life. I hated the drama that came with it. I have had some time to time in my married life that made me feel this way, and I have been better about handling it. But I have also been able to trust and become good friends with some fine ladies... You know who you are.... and if you don't, well I will just have to smack you one!

5. The heat!! UGH! I cant wait until fall!

I'm sure I could go on...but for your sanity, I wont. Besides I have to tend to my screaming kids, all 3 of them! Humm... that could be #6! heehee....when does school start back up?? *smirk*

Grandma J. lookin good!

A few months back my Mom had called me asking me to go to her house and grab a picture of Grandma J. for this Lady, Jodi McGregor, who did the beautiful mural at the new Sunfirst Bank. I took her the picture and we went over to the new building and she gladly took it. She did a wonderful job considering how small the picture was that we had of Grandma J. It is really neat to know that my Grandma is apart of the history there. I still remember her telling me about the time the Indians came to her house to trade items with her parents, and how terrified she was of them. She also told us about how she would take the whole day and walk to go floating in the canal. Its just fun to see this come to life. As my mom said, Grandma would have been tickled to see herself up there, she would have told all her friends about it!

Beastie Boys

Ethan LOVES the Beastie Boys! Its a crack up to see him dancing each time we are in the truck. His little leg starts to kick around and around, then the other leg joins in then he starts to rock out! I'm not to sure how well the video will turn out...but here he is listening to "brass monkey" then we changed it to "time to get ill" Sorry for the crappy take, I thought I had turned it off, but didn't...but its the best we got! enjoy :)

Silly and filthy kids!

Doug new found obsession has gotten the family out "hunting" for "wocks". We were out looking and the kids somehow, not quite sure how, found the red sand and played in it! They were covered from head to toe in dirt. We had to take Ethan's clothing off just to take him home! But they had fun:)
