Ethan and I went butterfly hunting today. He thought that was a crack up! Even though we didn't catch any ( those things are way to fast!) he had fun, and I had fun to! He was yelling to his hearts content and as loud as he could... booo-flyyyyeee... all while looking for the cute little flying objects :)

MINE!

This seems to be Ethan's new favorite word. MINE! He has gotten used to using it. Everything and anything in his eyes, is his. I'm sure he learned it well from his sisters. I just hope he moves on and finds some other new word to use over and over! Something nice would be good. :)

San Francisco, California

Doug and I were able to take a trip to San Francisco this past weekend. My mom was a sweetheart and came over to the house to watch the kids so that we could go. We flew out of Las Vegas Friday night, so when we arrived in the bay area, it had become foggy. It was really neat to see the fog, and a weird feeling to be landing what seemed to be water. Thankfully we came upon land right before the plane landed! We then worked our way to the tram and took it to get our car. We ended up with a PT Cruiser. It was a fun little car (they called it mid-sized...umm humm right) We then proceeded to our hotel. Lets just say that the freeways there are FAST. You can be on then off then on in a blink of an eye, that's what happened to us. So we made our loop back and this time there was no throwing us back on the freeway!

The hotel was really nice, so nice that there was a sweet 16 party going on there. Really, I just don't get the whole "million" dollar party's that they throw for turning 16. But anyhow. We got up the next morning and went down to their YUMMY complementary breakfast that they have. We got our omelets...mmmm... Then we went back to get ready to set out for the day.

The weather was BEAUTIFUL! Its was heaven to be in a place where you got to wear your hoodie! It was about 59* that morning. The day time temp was about 68* or so. Beautiful!

We first went to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was pretty, and large, but not as big as I thought it would have been. While we were on the bridge Doug's hat flew off his head. He finally got his answer to how someone loses their hat. Poor kid. He loved that hat! When we crossed the bridge we took an exit just to turn around and go back, but we followed some cars and found this amazing place with a beautiful beach! I guess it was where they shot off missiles and had barracks back in the cold war. Really a neat place that we found by mistake. The Beach was so different! The rocks were amazing, it was by far one of our favorite places that we visited.

We then headed back to go into San Francisco. Lets just say most if not all of our pictures were taken from the car. You couldn't find a parking spot for your life! So we took pictures from the car. We walked the fisherman's wharf, ate at Boudins, very yummy. Walked down to Pier 39 to see the sea lions, then walked all the way to the "trolleys" or cable cars. We opted not to ride on them because of the price and the fact that it would have taken more then two hours to go round trip. We chose to go back to the car and drive nob hill ourselves. We had fun. We even got to go down Russian hill! That was fun. We had to wait awhile to go down it, but it was fun! Did I mention it was fun?? :)

The human "sea lions" at Pier 39. (funny how we sit and stare at the sea critters... humm we kinda look like them...all gathered together seeking out a spot....)

Then went into the city and drove around. Then we took the Bay bridge to Oakland city. While we were on it there was a crazy guy who thought it would be cool going at about 50 mph to get out of the passengers side window climb up onto the roof, and then down into the sunroof. He then opened his door and put his feet onto the pavement. Later he was hanging halfway out the window! All I remember when I saw him going over the roof I yelled out "I'M NOT OK WITH THIS!" That was because if he fell, we would have hit him first...EWW... not good. But it didn't happen. Thaaaaaank Youuuuu!

We had dinner at P.F. Chang 's China Bistro. That was some good eats there! Doug and I were in heaven! We then headed back to our hotel. We made it off the exit that we missed the first night.

The next morning we had our yummy breakfast and headed out. We went to another beach (yes I know, we are in San Francisco, why are you going to beaches? Simple. We love them!) We got to drive through some amazing mountain areas and we came across a cute farmers market type area. Lots of fresh garden foods, and a lot of fresh cut flowers as well. Heck you could get a dozen roses for 5 bucks! There was also a very cute tree farm, that when Christmas time came around they had many festivities. It just was peaceful.

From there we had to head back to the airport to catch our flight home. I just cant get into the whole be there 2 hours early. It makes for a LONG wait to get on your plane. Thankfully Doug had his IPod so we watched a movie. The flight home was good. We got home back to the heat. I had to ask Doug to remind me why we live here again. *grin*

So all in all our trip was great. It was nice to spend time with my love and see a new place. It makes you open your heart and mind to the world around. Sometimes you forget just how small we are in this town!

Doctors

What is with Doctors anyhow?

I went in today for a exam, she was nice and things went well. She came back into the room and gave me information I needed, and I proceeded to ask her this... " I have a few questions, do you have the time" She then looked at me like she was going to smack me and gave me the look of "you are kidding me, I don't have time" Almost like she was clinching her teeth together. I went ahead and asked my questions, she answered them matter of fact. I just got the feeling that I was putting her off, and that I shouldn't have asked in the first place, that I should know the answers already.

It just drives me crazy! You pay almost 100 bucks to be seen

(- the part insurance pays, but still!), you would think they would have the decency to not make you feel like you cant ask questions. I know that they have a lot people to see during the day, but at least they can respect that you are asking what are important questions to you, and answer them as if they care! Not treat you like a cow getting ready to be milked!

Life back in full swing!

I just have to say that I really have enjoyed that the girls are back in school. Its just nice to be able to get things done during the day. That Ethan is calm during the day and is napping a bit longer then he had before. The girls are happy as well and like their teachers which is a good thing!

Ethan is now completely a toddler bed sleeper! Mom was able to over come the fear of him moving onto the big boy bed! The crib went down yesterday and hes been sleeping great! I am so happy that we have Ethan. Hes has been an amazing little boy from the start! Its just fun to see him hangin with his dad.

I have been able to come closer to getting the kids rooms to where I would like them to be. They have been fun to create. I will post pictures soon of them. The girls just got new shadow boxes from PB Teen. I got them on sale, and they are more then what I hoped for! They are good quality and very cute! So I'm really excited about that. So are the girls! I just came up with what I'm going to do in Ethan's room, and I'm excited about that as well.

But I'm sure its all going to change soon. With Summer getting older we will be making changes, or at least I think we should. I believe she will be getting her own room. So that means Sienna will have her own room as well. I don't know how it is to share a room. I never had to. I have older brothers, so that was never an issue. So I don't know if its a good thing to give them their own rooms, or continue to have them share a room. For those out there who have sisters, what do you think? Is it better to make them share, or split them? I just want them to be close when they are older and have families of their own. I always hear and see sisters doing things together, and it always looked like fun. So let me know what you think!!

Doug has been WAY busy with work. In fact today he had to strap on the tools and go to work. Its been a good while since he had to do this. Its always around this time of year that it gets crazy! Back to school hits, and then that's when our guys work their hardest. I'm thankful that we have great employees. Its been a blessing, even though there have been times where you just have to shake your head. :) but that's life I suppose.

I have enjoyed the time with the girls at school. Its more calm during the day. I'm also looking forward to getting myself into a routine. Maybe getting back to the gym as well.
Anyhow, that's how life's been.
I just had to blog my life, after all this is my journal...

Ahh... Back to school!

Today was back to school day! The girls were way excited to be going back to school. In fact last month at the beginning they wanted it to start then! I cant get over how much they have grown! Its both exciting and sad. I'm very blessed with two girls who love to learn who are very kind and thoughtful and are very polite. I think at times I over look what they do!

Its good to have a routine back, and I'm looking forward to it! I think Ethan will enjoy his sisters more now that he has a "break" from them! I'm hoping that he will nap a little longer as well.

All in all I'm grateful for my family and love my kids to pieces, but I'm also grateful that school in back in session!!! :)

A new closet!!

Doug did it!!! He built a closet this weekend! I'm so proud of my Handy Man Doug!! :) It still needs to be mudded and textured and painted, but that will come soon! I'm just so happy and thankful that Doug was able to do this! We are now officially a REAL 4 bedroom Home! :)

The Last Lecture

This book is just a good book to read. Its about Randy's life, and how he took on life, and how he looked and lived his life after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Even though this book/lecture was meant for his children, it touched me in many ways. It made me rethink things. To be a Tigger and not an Eeyore. If you are up for reading a book, I would say go and get this one. Its about real life...

I have a lot to work on! I'm a Tigore as of now...striving to be that bouncing happy go lucky stripity orange and black cat!! :)

An unusual cat named Bandit...

So most cats will bring you half dead or dead things right? Leave them on your doorstep to have the oh so wonderful feeling of squishes between your toes...or to have the "dead" animal end up running loose inside your home! Well not our Bandit! Hes been a quirky cat from the start... he barks like a dog.. well not exactly but close enough! He chases wire and brings it back to you to be re- thrown. Lately we have been having honey suckle showing up in our yard. While we have this plant, its not coming from ours. Ours are tiny little bell flowers. Well the other night Doug saw him eating something and went over to him and saw that it was a honeysuckle flower. We laughed at the thought of Bandit liking the taste... and that was that. We saw a few more here and there... But tonight was the funniest! Bandit came in meowing and had plopped down in the kitchen and meowed some more. I looked over at him, I couldn't believe what I was seeing! He brought in three honeysuckle flowers!! He was very proud of his find and was sharing in his good eats. Doug and I laughed...never in my life have I seen a cat eat flowers. So to this I have to say to Tarci, I'm soooo sorry!! Bandit has found your flowers and is in love with them! I'm not sure what to do... I will do some research..

Family Dinner

In tradition to Grandma Juretich, we have family dinner every two weeks. It is always at someones home, and there is always good food to eat! I just love it. Its good to get together like we did as kids!! This go around was at our house, and after dinner we managed to play rock band! The kids loved it, I think... and I know the Big kids loved it even more!!

To think many...many...many years ago my parents thought "lets give it one more try". They had no idea what they were having because technology back then wasn't as cool as it is now. So out I came... Its a girl!! They were so very thrilled...finally a girl!

I'm happy to say that I have great parents who love me very much, and I'm grateful for my brothers who had to put up with me all through these years!! But I need to remind them also that I had to put up with them as well!! ;)

I love being the only girl and the youngest! So thanks Mom and Dad and thanks to the great magazine of Readers Digest who published the article of "how to choose the sex of your baby" by Dr. Shettles! My Mom saw this and thought it was worth buying back in 1971... but they had to think about it a few years!!

But it worked!!
