bla bla bla

That's how feel today. I think everything is hitting at once, and I'm not taking to it too well.

There are just those days where you feel down, or feel less motivated, or just plain ol don't like the day. Today's gripes for me are as follows...

1. No weight loss, even after about a month of swimming. I can see my legs are getting more muscles, and such, but my lovely scale hasn't given me a break!

2. People. I have always had this thing, I look at a person and wonder what their life is like, and think about how they are human, and the have the same needs as me, or think about how hard they have worked in their life time to be where they are. Its the same thing when I see people eating. We all have that need. Its an odd thing, I know. But while it helps me to be more thankful for what I have, it also makes me sad... haven't figured out yet why that is.

3. Trying to grow up. Is hard to want to be more "girlie" and not have the confidence to do it. I suppose if I was lucky to have a body that fit into the general made clothing, it wouldn't be a problem. Or if I would just let go of my insecurity of being more girl like. I thought for sure by this age that I am I would have been more ok with "nicer" clothing. But here I am still wearing T-shirts and shorts. Boy clothing for that matter. It just fits a bit better, hides all the flaws that I see. But really it only makes me look bigger, I think. So how does one over come this? Same with make-up. I'm so trying to work on this one! I have to, I'm getting OLD! heehee

4. Friends. I have to say that I have grown a lot in this area. Since moving to this street, I have been able to make some incredible friends. I never had luck with friends. They would either be a friend for a day to get what they needed, a ride up boarding, to someones house...It was amazing how they would use me. It took me a long time to get over them, and to move on with my life. I hated the drama that came with it. I have had some time to time in my married life that made me feel this way, and I have been better about handling it. But I have also been able to trust and become good friends with some fine ladies... You know who you are.... and if you don't, well I will just have to smack you one!

5. The heat!! UGH! I cant wait until fall!

I'm sure I could go on...but for your sanity, I wont. Besides I have to tend to my screaming kids, all 3 of them! Humm... that could be #6! heehee....when does school start back up?? *smirk*

Grandma J. lookin good!

A few months back my Mom had called me asking me to go to her house and grab a picture of Grandma J. for this Lady, Jodi McGregor, who did the beautiful mural at the new Sunfirst Bank. I took her the picture and we went over to the new building and she gladly took it. She did a wonderful job considering how small the picture was that we had of Grandma J. It is really neat to know that my Grandma is apart of the history there. I still remember her telling me about the time the Indians came to her house to trade items with her parents, and how terrified she was of them. She also told us about how she would take the whole day and walk to go floating in the canal. Its just fun to see this come to life. As my mom said, Grandma would have been tickled to see herself up there, she would have told all her friends about it!

Beastie Boys

Ethan LOVES the Beastie Boys! Its a crack up to see him dancing each time we are in the truck. His little leg starts to kick around and around, then the other leg joins in then he starts to rock out! I'm not to sure how well the video will turn out...but here he is listening to "brass monkey" then we changed it to "time to get ill" Sorry for the crappy take, I thought I had turned it off, but didn't...but its the best we got! enjoy :)

Doug new found obsession has gotten the family out "hunting" for "wocks". We were out looking and the kids somehow, not quite sure how, found the red sand and played in it! They were covered from head to toe in dirt. We had to take Ethan's clothing off just to take him home! But they had fun:)

Happy Birthday Summer!

So today Summer turns 13!

Yes 13...it has gone by so fast! I cant belive we have a teenager! Its just crazy! I still can remember the day we found out we were pregnant.... I thought for sure I had the flu...and for whatever reason my mom thought we should go get a pregnancy test. I was thinking there is NO way I am, but ok. Well I sure was wrong! I remember Doug being all giddy, and me sitting in the tubs edge staring blankly at the stick thinking Holy crap.. this cant be right! Doug and my mom to this day still laugh at me...I was in total shock. But we are soo happy that we had her, and we are so happy that she is in our family. We love her very much! She is a great Daughter! A wonderful sister too!

Happy Fathers Day!

I just have to say just how much I love and adore my Dad! I'm very lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful dad! I really am my Daddy's little girl. He is very loving and very thoughtful and will help us out when ever we need it. I'm grateful that I am able to sit and talk with my dad, and I'm glad to be older and to have this relationship that I have with my dad. I am also grateful that my dad loves my children and that he enjoys seeing them. I just love the connection he and Ethan have, its amazing to see that he loves my children as much as he loves his own. I also love the fact that he has taken in Doug as one of his own boys. You don't see that too often, and I'm grateful that Doug loves him back and that they are close. Thank you dad for all that you do, and all that you have done in the past! You are an amazing dad, and I LOVE YOU!

Doug, I just want you to know how much I Love You, and am grateful that we met. I still remember sitting next to you in your car and thinking "I could see myself married to him" and look at us now 15 + years later with three beautiful children. You are an amazing father to them, and I am thankful that you will change a poopy bum! You are very loving to them, and I know that they love you with all of their hearts. You do so much for our family, and I know we don't tell you enough about just how much we appreciate it, but we do! My three hard workers!

As many of you know Doug has been hard working in our yard. But not many of you know that my Dad has been hard working...or looking and getting "wocks" for our yard! With both of their great efforts, along with Ethan, our back yard is becoming very beautiful! I'm so proud of all three of them! My Dad gets a kick ever time he comes over that Ethan is willing to help move the rocks! Doug has enjoyed Ethan's help as well. Ethan sure doesn't mind to get right in there and help garden, you would think he has been doing this for years now, and hes only 20 months old! I love my guys! All three of of you! Thanks for your hard work!!

Highchairs are for babies...

So this has been Ethan's thinking for the past week. He now will ONLY sit in his booster chair at the table to eat his meals. I guess he wants to be close to his sisters....or wants to be BIG like them. He doesn't do too bad eating, in fact I think he hits his mouth more then then girls do combined! heehee... nooooo, but almost! Its fun to see him being big about things, but then I don't want him to grow up fast like his sisters have!

3. My new favorite snack food has been the single serve broccoli and cheese! they are only 60 calories and very yummy!

Can I just say....

That I have been feeling crappy! I think I have some sort of Anxiety thing going on here. First off we have been shopping for new car insurance because ours just keeps going up and up for no reason whatsoever! So I did the progressive, geico....called some that family and friends said they had and finally chose one. Well I went in to get the policy... and I'm freaking out! We have been with Allstate for 15 years... I suppose I could have called them and said "hey you listen here" but I did that once before...and they didn't do much. We haven't gotten into ANY accidents in the 15 years, no tickets on record...Doug got one when we were living up north, but he took a class and got it taken off. So anyhoo... the whole time I'm figuring out who we were going to go with I'm freaking out! I found myself short with the kids, just not feeling happy at all. Stressed, and when I finally do make a choice and go in and make a payment I came out even more stressed! What is wrong with me?

I swear a lot of choice making things get me this way, and I have no idea why? Sometimes even making a choice on where to eat freaks me out...even what to make for dinner. Ohh me o my! I don't even like to be the one driving through the drive thru because it freaks me out. I just don't get it?!

I suppose I need help.... HELP~ heehee

Saturday night fun!

Last Saturday evening we went to the park with some neighbor friends and enjoyed some YUMMY pork-kabobs, along with other foods. I have to say that I eat more then I should at things like this. There is something about someone else's cooking that makes food taste better. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy what I cook...but im sure you know what i mean so anyhow I had my share, and couldn't get enough of the kabobs! The kids had fun playing on the playground. Summer, Sienna and Ethan went down to play in the splash pad at the park but it was "closed" apparently they shut it off at 8pm. What a jip! I can understand 9pm...but 8! So they were bummed. They were watering the grass so they thought that they would go play in that....umm NO...It was WAY to cold. Poor Ethan didn't even know he was going to play in it...until it hit him! He didn't like that too much.

But we did have a good time visiting! It nice to have friends/neighbors that we can hang with! I'm glad we moved to this street....but I'm still trying to get over moving into the house. *smirk*

So sweet! I cant believe shes going to be thirteen! *eek*

Memorial Day

Memorial day was pretty much a laid back day for us. Doug was working out in the yard as he has been for the past 2 weeks. He has done so well! But anyhow, we were out front and Allie and her family came down and hung out until dark. We had fun visiting with them. We rode our scooters, Doug took the kids on a bike ride, and Allie took the girls on the 4-wheeler. So like I said before...we just had a laid back kind of day!
